Tim Burton Themed Bar

Beetle House, Beetle House, Beetle House! A Tim Burton themed bar is opening Saturday in New York’s East Village. The food and drink menus blend American comfort, Latin, Italian, and European while paying homage to Burton’s classic dark titles with the Big Fish Bowl, Edward Burger Hands, and Warm Wonka Bar Chocolate Cake. 

Psycho House at the Met

Norman Bates’ humble abode is the Met’s newest attraction. “Transitional Object (PsychoBarn)” is a replica of the famous Psycho house at a shrunken scale rendered by British artist, Cornelia Parker. Located in the museum’s rooftop garden, the piece was constructed with reclaimed wood from a barn and is only a façade with exposed scaffolding in the back to resemble a movie set.

Loews Hotels’ Travelling Speakeasy

Using the concept of a speakeasy, Loews Hotels is hitting the road. “The Traveller Bar” is set to visit 24 Loews locations across the country. Constructed with an out-of-commission elevator car, the zinc-top bar consists of a library with 50 vintage cocktail books and a menu with 32 classic cocktails.
