Universal Orlando is expanding its Harry Potter attractions with the launch of Diagon Alley, a bustling hub of wizardry.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the first Harry attraction, opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park in 2010. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley will be accessible from the first Harry attraction via the new Hogwart's Express train. Guests will depart the Hogsmeade Station at the Islands of Adventure park, take Hogwart's Express, and arrive at the King's Cross Station at Universal Studios Orlando. The rail journey will include views of "London and the British countryside — as well as a few surprises." Guests will have to pay park-to-park admission to access both Harry attractions.
Once at Diagon Alley, guests will experience a replication of London and the actual alley, which will be filled with wizard-themed shops and restaurants. A new ride will also launch at Diagon Alley — Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, described as a "groundbreaking new, multi-dimensional thrill ride." Click here for more information.
