Nir Slakman's photos show what could be a reality, if Israel allowed marriage equality.

Maybe it was in a 'soft' protest, or maybe it was just a wish-fulfillment fantasy, but Nir Slakman needed to stage a dream wedding with a dream cast.

Tel Aviv is a very gay friendly city — famous for its gay parties, great beaches, and an amazing Gay Pride parade and festival. But despite the open mindedness it is a religious country and LGBT couples are not allowed to get married legally. (LGBT couples can still get married abroad and be recorded in the israeli Administration of Border Crossings, Population and Immigration office.)

Recently the issue of marriage equality was raised in the media in Israel because of the upcoming elections in March. Maybe the Israeli politicians can look at these lovely pictures and feel a little less threatened about marriage for LGBT people in their own country.
