ADE – Amsterdam Dance Event

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the gateway to the international electronic music scene. As the world's biggest club festival and Europe's leading electronic music conference, it's a true dance lovers' Mecca. ADE returns with five days of DJs and artists.
TCS Amsterdam Marathon
When it comes to running events, you could say Amsterdam has a personal best: the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. Held annually in mid-October, the 38th edition of event draws elite runners from around the world.
The city of Amsterdam is known the world over for its vibrant gay friendly culture. So it is apt that they host one of the most popular leather pride festivals in the world. The festival will have mega dance parties with laser shows and world class DJ’s mixing some awesome beats for the thousands of people who will be in attendance.
On the first Saturday in November every year, about 50 museums in Amsterdam open their doors from 19:00 to 02:00 and organise special events including workshops, concerts, special tours and performances. Every November, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) transforms the city centre into a paradise for documentary film fans. The 26th edition of the event treats documentary lovers to the latest and greatest domestic and international arrivals from the documentary film world.
MTV European Music Awards
One of the biggest music events in the world, the MTV European Music Awards stop off in Amsterdam’s massive Ziggo Dome. Of course, the scale of the venue is in fitting of the event, which is broadcast live around the world to an audience of millions and attracts the world’s biggest pop stars of the moment.
Amsterdam Light Festival

The Amsterdam Light Festival returns for its second edition in Amsterdam this festive season, (literally) putting the beautiful city centre and its canals in the limelight.
December 26 – 29
The Hollandsche Manege – the oldest riding school in the Netherlands – will be the home to festive performance ‘Elize’. Blending original horseback performances with live music, songs, comedy and special effects to tell an authentic story about 19th century Amsterdam – from the Canal Ring to the grimier Jordaan.
