It's not every day you hear about a Pride Train! Via Rail has just announced their VIA Rail Pride Trains will run from points north, south, and east to Toronto in time for Pride. Toronto Pride runs June 25 through July 4.
The Pride Train will start in Montreal, Ottawa, and Windsor (and make stops between these destinations and Toronto on the way). Click here for the schedule.
So, what exactly is a Pride Train? First of all, there'll be a lot of queers on the train so ipso facto you have a gay train. But the folks at VIA Rail are also offering a drink, snacks, and a donation of $10 to the local Pride organization in the town where you board. The lucky folks boarding in Montreal will also have access to a special Pride Car Cafe with music and entertainment (with drag queens, natch).
The company putting together the Pride rail package (Conxity) also offers a number of other Pride packages for leather lovers, party boys, party girls, and more.
