New York's second annual Fashion Night Out is just around the corner. It's your opportunity to shop for a good cause, gape at over 150 models strutting their stuff on the catwalk, and save big at participating hotels, restaurants, stores, and more throughout the five buroughs.

For one night last September in New York City, designers, celebrities, models and fashion editors participated in exciting, one-of-a-kind events in stores open to the public after hours. Was that legendary Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour shopping at a Target? Yes! It's for a great cause. In 2009, a portion of proceeds from sales of the Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt went to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center, raising more than $300,000.

Last year over 800 retailers participated. This year's event is September 10, from 6 to 11pm. Find out who's participating this year by clicking here. There's also a fashion show open to the public on September 7 at Lincoln Center with over 150 models. This year's show is already sold out (click here for more information), but start planning for next year. The tickets -- starting at a reasonably priced $25 -- sold out quickly.

Some of the most fashionable hotels in the city are offering deals, some lasting throughout September. Click here for a list of participating hotels.
