Which Pride is Best: Boston, L.A. or D.C.?

Three gay capitals launch or close their Pride events this weekend. That means you must judge which one is the coolest.

Pride season is upon us and three big ones climax this weekend: Boston, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. All three cities are amazing in their own very specific ways, but which one is throwing the best Pride? We'll provide highlights of each city's plans and you tell us in the comments and social media who's tops.

BOSTON PRIDE WEEK, June 6-15
Highlights:
-A senior Pride Tea Dance, because everyone should get to enjoy Pride with their shirt off
-A human rights and education panel on LGBT rights in India, because Pride should be more than running around with your shirt off
-Pride Night at Fenway Park, because there is something wonderful about bringing queer energy to that den of masculinity
-Numerous concerts with the Boston Gay Men's Chorus and Glee star Alex Newell, because that's just fun

LOS ANGELES PRIDE, June 6-8
Highlights:
-An outdoor disco roller rink, because it's always a good time to reenact Madonna's "Sorry" video
-A pavilion called "Erotic City," where "being overwhelmed is a good thing, where the taboo is commonplace, and where the atmosphere is sensual." Not sure if you can get spanked in public, but there will definitely be gorgeous men dressed up like Tom of Finland.
-An art installation called the PRIDE Chapel that tells the story of the fight for marriage equality and features appearances by plaintiffs in the Prop. 8 lawsuit
-TranStation, a gathering space for transgender participants, encourages all letters in LGBT to take part in Pride

CAPITAL PRIDE, May 30-June 8
Highlights:
-Though it's on Wednesday, June 4, the D.C. Bike Party Pride Ride is just too fun to not include. Toned guys and girls on two wheels — come on!
-The National Pride Shabbat is just interesting enough to get us into a house of worship on a Friday night. Who doesn't love Manischewitz?
-The historic Gay D.C. Walking Tour fills the young kids in on the role the Dupont Circle neighborhood played in creating LGBT activists in the 1960s, years before it became the gay power nexus it is today.

-The #PridePaintParty is not your normal dance party: it's a futuristic, glowing, body-painted extravaganza. That sounds a lot better than tired old tea dances.
