Eligibility: The “Out Traveler/Travel Channel Out Beyond Boundaries Trip Giveaway” (“Sweepstakes”) is open to natural persons that are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on August 15, 2006 and ends at 11:59 PM (ET) on October 1, 2006. Sweepstakes is sponsored by The LPI Media (“Sponsor”), 245 W. 17th Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10011. Employees of the Sponsor, The Travel Channel, and their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to enter. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant (i) agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agrees to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes. 

How to enter: Enter online by visiting www.outtraveler.com/travelchannel and follow all entry instructions to complete and submit the online entry form. Entries must be received between 12:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on August 15, 2006 and 11:59 PM (ET) on October 1 2006. Entrants subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to privacy policy. Limit: One online entry per person. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person, 21 or older who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Duplicate or mass entries, or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices will be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for, and will have the right to refuse in its sole and absolute discretion, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, illegible, misaddressed or misdirected entries, whether due to Internet or e-mail server failure, delay, losses or otherwise.  All entries become Sponsor's property and will not be returned.

One (1) Grand Prize: A seven (7) night Alaska Gold Rush Cruise for winner and guest. Grand prize consists of: Roundtrip coach air transportation for winner and guest to Seattle, WA (“Embarkation Point”) from a major commercial airport nearest winner’s primary residence and seven (7) nights-double occupancy Category A cruise accommodations, all onboard meals and entertainment. Port charges and fees, meals while not on-board ship, ground transportation, shore excursions, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, some specialty coffee drinks, spa treatments,  taxes, gratuities, travel insurance, incidentals and any other expenses not mentioned herein are not included and are the responsibility of Grand Prize winner and guest. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize: $4,990.00, depending on location of winner and airfares at time of departure. If actual value turns out to be less than stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash. If winner resides within 100 miles of Embarkation Point, ground transportation may be substituted for air travel at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Blackout periods and certain restrictions may apply. Winner and guest must travel on dates designated by Sponsor (tentatively scheduled for embarkation September 7, 2007 and return September 14, 2007 but subject to change) and on same itinerary, or forfeit all rights to prize. Winner and guest are responsible for obtaining proper documentation (e.g., valid photo ID and/or passport) prior to travel. Guest of the Grand Prize Winner must be 21 years of age or older at time of travel.  Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local sales and income taxes. No substitution for prize, except Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.  Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash, except in the sole discretion of Sponsor.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Winner Selection/Notification: The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received. Random drawing will be conducted on or about October 6, 2006 by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winner will be notified by overnight delivery service and will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and (where permissible) Publicity Release (“Affidavit/Release”), and IRS W-9 Form. The Affidavit/Release must be completed, signed and returned within fourteen (14) days of date printed on notification or winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected in separate random drawing.  Winner’s guest will be required to execute and return a Liability and Publicity Release (where permissible) prior to travel or will not be permitted to accompany winner on trip. If Affidavit/Release is returned as undeliverable, or if Grand Prize is forfeited for any reason whatsoever, the winner will be disqualified, and the Grand Prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing. Acceptance of Grand Prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner's name, hometown, prize description, voice, picture, and likeness for purposes in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation unless prohibited by law and without additional compensation.

Confidentiality: By entering, the information you provide may be sent to promotional partners identified in this Sweepstakes.  You may be contacted by the Sponsor and/or any promotional partners with future promotional offers.  Information provided by you to participate in this Sweepstakes is subject to the Sponsor's privacy policy and by the privacy policies of any promotional partners.

Release:  By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that the Sponsor, Out Traveler, LPI Media, Inc., and each of their respective parents, affiliates, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability, and shall be held harmless, for any damage, losses or injury, including personal injury or death, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize or participation in the Sweepstakes.  Sponsor is not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot be implemented due to delays or interruptions caused by acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, utility outages or acts of terrorism.

Notice to entrants:The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or illegible entries; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes.  By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants (i) agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor and the independent judging organization. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) terminate or modify entry into the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted, (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), and to select winner from among all eligible entries received prior to termination.  Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
