North America's largest music festival brought nearly 350,000 to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.

Electronic dance music continues to cross-over to mainstream America and nowhere was that more evident than at this weekend's Electric Daisy Carnival on the outskirts of Las Vegas.

Ravers old and young, and those who just like to party, descended upon the city's motor speedway on Friday for three days of dancing, carnival rides, and art installations. EDC attracted 4,000 people in 1996, its inaugural year, but sold 345,000 tickets this year. Acts including Major Lazer, La Roux, Avicii, and Richie Hawtin were part of the expansive lineup. Many of the DJs of EDC are playing the clubs of Vegas this week, while the gorgeous Cosmopolitan hotel hosted a business conference for electronic music professionals last week.
