The Cherokee National History Museum in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, opened a new exhibit last month about the Cherokee Freedmen, the Black people once enslaved by the tribe.
The French designer dressed everyone from Grace Jones to Madonna, to Beyonce and Cardi B. A retrospective of his work is currently showing at Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
