As a blizzard visits the northeast United States, Southern California has already welcomed spring. A wildflower “super bloom” has recently swept across the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
It’s an annual occurrence that brings out thousands of visitors. Desert lilies, poppies, dune primrose, sunflowers, and desert dandelions decorate the fields and hillsides as a sign of the changing seasons. It’s expected to be the biggest bloom in 20 years.
For a glimpse at these beautiful wildflowers, visit the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
