Robert Mapplethorpe, Paul Cadmus, Andrey Avinoff, Michael Miksche, and George Platt Lynes are just a few of the artists featured in a new exhibit by the Kinsey Institute and the World Erotic Art Museum. "Protected Beauty" examines works about male beauty and sexuality. Pieces that were deemed too controversial for mainstream art museums at the time, the Kinsey Institute has compiled and preserved this archive for almost 70 years.
The exhibit runs through March 1 at the World Erotic Art Museum in Miami.
