Sure there were half-naked revelers, but there were also some home-grown heroes marching, as well.

Key West, Fla. just wrapped its latest Fantasy Fest, one of the raucuous events that makes this one of the most-loved places in the world (especially for LGBT travelers). The 10-day gathering is billed as "Florida's premier masking and costuming celebration," which culminates with the Fantasy Fest Parade down Duval Street. This year's parade, held Saturday, starred local heroes Aaron Huntsman and William Lee Jones. The couple were two of the plaintiffs in a successful lawsuit against Florida's marriage equality ban (it's currently being appealed by hypocritical state attorney general Pam Bondi).

"I hope that our appearance as grand marshals of Fantasy Fest will show the rest of the state, and our state attorney general and our governor, that we're all one human family and that we need equality now," Huntsman said in a statement. "And no more wasting taxpayers' money. Let's get it done." Check out pics of the anime-themed parade below.
