NYC Charity Art Show To Benefit LGBT People 'Where Love Is Illegal'

Sandra Bernhard, Catherine Curtin, John Bartlett, and others have come together for this important cause. 

On Monday, October 12, LGBT leaders, tastemakers, and activists will come together for a special Where Love Is Illegal fundraising event, in support of global charities. Celebrated photographer and activist Robin Hammond has spent more than a decade documenting human rights struggles in sub-Saharan Africa. During that time, he bore witness to the alarming rise in homophobia, a development that inspired him to team up with designer Erin Joy to create the project desgined to capture and share the personal stories of LGBT people in anti-gay societies. 

With attendees such as Sandra Bernhard, Catherine Curtin, John Bartlett, Robin Hammond, Fabiola Beracasa, Peter Davis, Harold Smith-Franzen, and Dr. David Colbert, the event will photography by C215 (Christian Guémy), music by DJ Kris Graham, and a silent auction.
