Now that Mississippi’s governor has
signed a bill
that legalizes the discrimination of LGBT people based on religious beliefs, it’s time to celebrate one of the most politically backward places in the United States.
As usual, the team over at
Funny Or Die
was on top of making a too real and too scary tourism ad for the ironically nicknamed Hospitality State. You’ll by dually oppressed by both the state’s heat and laws, and make sure to get your fill or any corporation or national chain with an inkling of a conscience, because if Georgia and North Carolina are any indicators, it’s painfully obvious that many companies dislike discrimination.
If Mississippi wants to plunge the state of its civil and human rights back 150 years, contemporary companies like Starbucks and Disney may be happy to oblige by abstaining from business with the state.
