Luxo Italia is organizing the olive harvesting experience in October and November.
Tuscany is one of the most romantic cities on Earth, but there's a side that most tourists don't get to see. October and November mark the traditional olive harvest.
Italian-based travel specialist, Luxo Italia invites tourists to experience the tradition, up close and personal. Guests will join a team of expert olive farmers at one of the top olive groves to help with the harvest and learn about the extraction and production processes. They'll enjoy country-side lunches on the grove and olive oil-infused massaged after long days of harvesting.
They can also partake in a tour of one of the oldest wine cellars in Italy, where the first Chianti was made, and a Tuscan degustation dinner overlooking the medieval village of Borro. Private tours of Florence, Siena, and Arezzo are also available. Guests will stay in a deluxe suite at Il Borro, Salvatore Ferragamo's luxury resort.
Three-night packages start at $7,000. Find more info at Luxo Italia.
