For a certain demographic, Lollapalooza may be synonymous with flannel, grunge, and everything '90s. But the youth of America only knows Lollapalooza as the best music festival in the mid-West, rather than a unstable, traveling act like it was in the days of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Taking place this weekend in the middle of Chi-town — Grant Park, to be exact — the festival featured acts from Lorde, Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris, Jenny Lewis, Foster the People, and Outkast. While not a gay event per se, many of our tribe were in attendance, and regardless, an air of acceptance and friendliness ran through the event. It is Chicago, after all. See pics below:
