Comedian Fortune Feimster gives us the best place in Vegas for finger foods

Fortune Feimster, the second Lipshtick lesbian to indulge us with answers to our ten pressing questions. Of course, by that we mean Fortune will also be performing in The Venetian Las Vegas Lipshtick comedy series on Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m. (In fact, she will be sharing the stage with last week's interviewee, Cameron Esposito.)

Prior to her short stint here answering our questions, Fortune appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing, finishing as a semi-finalist, and then as a full-time writer and regular performer on Chelsea Lately. But, we digress:

1. They say Fortune favors the bold. What’s the boldest thing you’ve done while traveling?
Right after college I moved to Spain for a year without knowing anyone or speaking Spanish. I think that was pretty bold.

2. You’re taking the wheels of Fortune out on a cross-country road trip: which 3 celebs do you take with you?
Beyoncé, so she can sing to us; Tom Hanks, because he seems like a pretty nice guy and Betty White, because she’s the coolest. I think that would be a pretty fun car.

3. If you inherited a small Fortune, where might you send her because you’ve vowed never to return?
I went to Bruges, Belgium - which I loved - but I stayed at this hostel,  I can’t remember the name of it.  It looked great from the outside. There were all these people in the lobby but when I went upstairs I was the only person staying there. I never saw anyone else there the whole week. It was really creepy.

4. Your favorite restaurant that serves fortune cookies?
I like any place that serves Chinese food, but I prefer hole-in-the-walls, so it wouldn't be anywhere you heard of.

5. Where can you find the best gay fans?
It’s great to have fans where ever I go. But, if I have to choose, maybe the Midwest, where gay people aren’t exposed to other gay people as much. It’s great to meet them because they seem the most excited to meet me.

6. Knock knock. (Who’s there?) It’s room service. What did you order?
I probably ordered three desserts. I have a giant sweet tooth.

7. Favorite travel memory?
I studied the Mayan ruins in Mexico two summers in a row. Each time I went it was with a group from my college and, it was the greatest experience ever. We had this amazing presenter who knew all about the local history and we had such a blast. (laughs) I think there are some videos from those summers that I would love to dig up….

8. Best place in Vegas for finger foods?
Hooters.

9. Where is your next adventure?
I’m always, always traveling for stand up. That’s the coolest part of my job. Coming up I have Vegas, North Carolina, Chicago, Boston, Kentucky. I’m all over the place.

10. Speaking of Lipshtick: best city to meet lesbians, lipstick or otherwise?
I would love someone to tell me this because I have no idea. It is very difficult to meet lesbians. So, if you find out the answer, please let me know…
