As winter creeps up and group ski trips start sounding fab again, remember the work they can be! Holing up for a long weekend with a few friends, a fire and a cabin split four ways sounds idyllic -- and can be -- but slopes are often crowded and skiied off, weekend traffic is killer and someone has to organize the whole show (not it!)

LGBT ski weeks like Whistler WinterPRIDE and Aspen Gay Ski Week take some of these edges off, organizing gay activities and reserving days for queer snow bunnies to take over the slopes, but CMH's Gay Heli-Ski Week takes it to a new level.

If WinterPRIDE and Aspen make a regular ski trip tip to favor same-sex party time, Heli-Ski Week a regular gay ski trip tip to favor serious snow queens -- no bunny slopes here!

For seven days in mid-April, Heli-Ski week invites 30 or so guests down in the Gothic Lounge -- exclusively reserved for the group -- along with professional guides for fun, free-wheeling pure powder runs down British Colombia's granite Selkirk and Monashee peaks.

A range of gourmet meals are included and CMH even provides specifically-designed skis free, so you don't have to lug equipment around airports! While welcomed, snowboarders will have to bring their own equipment.
