Some of the top picks might seem surprising -- a vacation in Bloomington, Indiana?! -- but each has a unique, progressive draw, not only making them great places for queer youth to go to school, but rather lively places to visit!
Bloomington, for one, has been a liberal island and gay cultural touchstone since the 1950s when Alfred Kinsey conducted taboo-shattering research on homosexuality.
And who knew the University of Kansas is popularly known as "Gay U"?
