Story by Joseph Alexiou
Carson Kressley of Queer Eye fame (and previously featured
in our Fall 2008 issue), along with the Manhattan Hematology Oncology
Associates, is hosting an art exhibit for the benefit of the Cancer Center at
New York’s Bellevue Hospital.
Hosted by the Galleria on Third (529 3rd Avenue), the free
event will begin on December 4 and continue through December 20. The exhibit features photography by Kressley, also works by Romero Britto, Marc Tetro, and other works by
TheCreativeCenterArts.org (who represents artists living with terminal
illnesses).
Kressley, who is the host of Lifetime’s “How to Look Good
Naked,” also is involved with a great number of gay rights organizations, AIDS
activism, and supporting various health causes through promotion, volunteering,
and philanthropy.
