Little Bit of Lovin’

Story and photo by Aefa Mulholland

Crispy Idaho Catfish, Pan-Seared Weathervane Scallops, Cider-Jalapeno Glazed Pork Back Ribs. Mmmm. If you like the flavors of Sazerac (1101 Fourth Avenue, Seattle; 206-624-7755), Hotel Monaco’s Southern-themed culinary delight in downtown Seattle (206-516-5097), there’s nothing stopping you trying it at home. Kimpton Hotels’ sultry Sazerac is cooking up a storm with its popular, quarterly Little Bit of Lovin’ cooking classes.

Seasonal menus, paired with local wines, are offered for April 18, July 25, and October 17. Taught by Executive Chef, Jason McClure, the April class boasts a “green” menu in the run up to Earth Day.

Opt for an a la carte class or garnish your lesson with a package including accommodations in the whimsical Monaco. Packages include cooking classes for two, overnight accommodations, logo-ed aprons, complimentary valet parking, and a signed copy of Savor Seattle featuring recipes from Seattle's top restaurants.
