G.P.S
Around the World in 80 Pee-pees
We kick off our short series of the world's best touchable tourist sights, with the already legendary "Adam" in the Time Warner Center in New York City. The 12-foot (er, in height only) statue off Columbus Circle is such a big hit with visitors that while the rest of his body is dull aged bronze, his personal attributes are buffed shiny and bright. It possibly wasn't what artist Fernando Botero had in mind when he received the commission, but surely it's a sign of love, right? Just remember, though, one touch for the camera is funny, anything more is creepy.
