A Cosmo quiz for Jetsetters
The Type As have called it unsettling. Everyone else is just jealous.
Next week, as a guest of American Express Travel, OutTraveler will be trying out their latest offering, a NEXTPEDITION custom-designed mystery trip. Part vacation, part Amazing Race, the hook is that we won't know where we're going till a few days before. We just get a packing list, a contract of what's included (airfare, accommodation, transfers, and a few special activities for the price point we chose), and a PDA, which day by day reveals what we're supposed to get up to. Midway through the week -- zing! -- it beeps, and we'll be off to the airport or train station to experience another destination. It's a surprise wrapped in an enigma tied off with a bow of adventure.
Sounds crazy, right? Crazy fun. (Especially if you're the type that hates pre-planning.)
And while this idea might not sit well with everyone, there's a method to the madness. The first step is to determine your Travel Sign, via the profiler below. With fun questions like "The zombie Apocalypse is real and they're attacking. What do you do?" (Have a massive party because it's all over anyway!) or "Which bird do you find the most appealing?" (Hawk!), you're assigned one of 20 different astrological-like personalities, enticingly energetic in their creative decsriptions: Detourist, Rustikeer, Zenturian, Poshaholic, Gastronaut to name a few. The agents build the trip from there, drilling down more specifically your likes and dislikes, where you've been, where you'd definitely not like to go, and what your dream trip might entail. You pick the dates and violà!
My friend and I got Karmakaze:
You scream as you dive headlong into the boiling surf. A jacked cyborg warrior taking on athletic adventures without fear or hesitation. The first one into the fray and the first one out of the your singlet. Or as you prefer to think of it, battle armor. Either way, you win. Or you die trying.
It all sounds a bit intense. Which is another way to say, "Perfect."
What's your sign?
