A few years back a collection of LA promotors and party boys (Justin David, Rob Dorman, Jeffrey Kurt Thompson, and Pancho Mabante) created The Royalty Group, an event company. They wanted to host a tea dance during Jeffrey Sanker's White Party weekend in Palm Springs, something that could give visitors a different vibe from the hard-pounding music found at the WP's host hotel.
Called Desert Tea, the classic pool party format featured hot guys of all shapes, sizes and ages, enjoying lyric-based music and the warm California sun. Seriously, check out these sexilicious photos. It became a huge success and has returned ever since. This year The Royalty Group will offer three events, from April 6-8, and they include a Friday night welcoming party, Saturday's Desert Tea by the pool, and Sunday's "Giving It" event to benefit the Desert AIDS Project. It's all being hosted at The Sagauro Hotel, a Joie de Vivre property that just opened in Palm Springs.
