Although we've been clued into Miami's funky fun gay-leaning hotel since before it opened, now it seems everybody else is taking note:  Travel + Leisure just named the Lords South Beach to its "It List" as one of the Best New Hotels of 2012.

"Take an Art Deco building in the center of South Beach, add bright bursts of lemon and cerulean as well as campy details (oversize Cleopatra prints; a lobby sculpture of a giant polar bear holding a beach ball) to the 54 rooms, and you’ve got the first outpost of a new, gay-friendly hotel brand and already one of the city’s most talked-about properties.... Come evening, the hotel’s informative iPhone app came in handy on our quest for Miami’s best martini."

And that iPhone app? Powered by Out magazine -- and four of the most in-the-know chicos-about-town around. And you don't have to check in to reap the benefits. Download the Out-n-About app from the iTunes store or print out the web version on OutTraveler.com by visiting Out Concierge: Miami

Just be sure to pay your respects to the polar bear.
