Two-Minute Cinema: CNN Goes Inside the Versace Mansion

It's no secret that Gianni Versace was a man of opulent taste. His fashion brand defined a generation and influenced those to come. He's still epitomized as a symbol of extravagance and style. It's that decadent lifestyle and the designer's unfortunate demise which makes for a perfect topic of Ryan Murphy's upcoming stylized season of American Crime Story.

And although he's no longer with us, Gianni Versace's legacy lives on not only through his fashion but through his Miami estate. The beautiful mansion is the most iconic address on Ocean Drive. With it's Greek and Roman influences and its mosaic pool, it's become an expensive, albeit highly-coveted destination for stylish travelers.

CNN recently went into the late designer's mansion, which is now the Villa Casa Casuarina. A decadent hotel with 10 suites, guests can stay in rooms once frequented by Madonna and Donatella Versace. Or they can visit Gianni's for dinner and the Onyx Bar for drinks, in the space that was once his kitchen.
