Manhattan's premiere "straight-friendly" gay hotel debuts luxe accommodations for the mutt in your life.

It's hard to find room to stretch your legs in New York, especially in the city's tiny hotels. But the OUT Hotel in Hell's Kitchen is now offering room for your dog to sprawl out and relax, freeing you up from having to walk him or her to Central Park every four hours.

The Dog House Suites, which start at $349 a night, come equipped with doggie doors that allow pets to access private, outdoor courtyards. There dogs can run around leash-less and play around in a dog house and faux fire hydrant, and enjoy treats, beds, food, and water; the area also includes seats for humans so you can keep an eye on your Pomeranian or Great Dane. The hotel is also offering dog walkers and pet sitters if you want to check out a Broadway show or hit up the bars on Eighth Avenue.

We're truly impressed by this amenity, especially in cramped Gotham. These pet offerings should become more common — hospitality offerings for animals is the fastest growing sector in the travel market, according to the American Pet Products Association.
