The Stonewall Inn to Host First-Ever Celebrity Auction

A-Listers like Ellen Degeneres, George Clooney and Madonna will be donating items to raise funds for charity.

New York, New York - Last year, New York City’s landmarks commission voted to grant official status to the Stonewall Inn, the West Village bar credited as the birthplace of the modern LGBT rights movement. To help celebrate its newfound status, the first-ever Stonewall Auction will take place with an event on Monday, October 24th from 6-9 p.m. The auction will then run online for two weeks beginning October 25 on Charitybuzz with proceeds going to help maintain the Stonewall National Park and to support several LGBT causes. Celebrities donating items to this auction include: Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, Cher, Chloe Grace Moretz, Demi Lovato, Dustin Lance Black, Ellen DeGeneres, George Clooney, Jonathan Adler, Jussie Smollett, Madonna, Michael Buble, Neil Patrick Harris, Robbie Rogers, Stevie Nicks, Taylor Swift, Troye Sivan and others.
