The proposed attraction would be in Beppu.
What appears to be an Onion headline is actually a proposed attraction for Beppu, a city in Japan famous for its hot springs. Spamusement Park would combine the soothing comforts of a spa with the fun of an amusement park. A video of the proposed park features guests in white towels lounging in hot tubs on rollercoasters and carousels.
According to Mashable, Mayor Yasuhiro Nagano of Beppu is excited with the prospect. He offered to make the park a reality if the video received a million views, which it has already reached double. No potential opening date has been announced.
