Take it from me, Lost in Dreams is the music festival that truly checks off all the boxes.
One of the highlights of my entire career and lifetime is covering music festivals of every caliber. From EDC coast-to-coast to Utopia in Mexico and even Igloofest in Canada, I've been blessed to see some unbelievable live music sets around the world.
Once my bestie Karsyn told me she secured her ticket to see Lost in Dreams at Craig Ranch Regional Park in Las Vegas, that immediately peaked my interest. The festival had its inaugural year in Sin City back in 2021, but it has since expanded to become a multi-day flagship festival in Los Angeles as well.
This year, Lost in Dreams made its grand return back to Las Vegas and tapped a fierce lineup of DJs that included ARMNHMR, Said The Sky, Dabin, MitiS, Trivecta, Pauline Herr, Paper Skies, and AVELLO. The festival only took place on one day and every headliner performed back-to-back, so fans got to see every DJ on the lineup.
Why does this festival stand out? There's quite a few key reasons. I will say, some of my priorities may be different from ravers who just recently started raving, so I'll do my best to not sound ancient. To be completely frank, the festival was so convenient and easy!
The parking? So simple. No traffic. No crazy lines. There were actual bathrooms for people to use. There was plenty of room to dance. Everyone is extremely kind and respectful. There's heavy security presence to make sure everyone is safe. The police officers even had plenty of kandi after taking photos with ravers all night! The cherry on top? The festival ends at midnight, so sleep can still be an easy priority.
Beyond all of the crucial conveniences, the DJ sets were infectious and extremely high energy. Everyone danced their hearts out, sang to the top of their lungs, and enjoyed a lucrative escape from all of the stress in the real world. At one point of the night, Karsyn and I literally had Shazam on nonstop so we could download all of the new music we were being exposed to.
As dorky as this sounds, Lost in Dreams was an unforgettable evening of wiggles and giggles. Once again, Insomniac continues to create safe spaces and musical escapes that make life truly worth living.
