The hotly anticipated Cannes Film Festival is nearly upon us — May 13-24 — who amongst the shortlist will win this year’s coveted Palme d’Or? Just as important, however, is the star-power in attendance: Who will be wearing what, and who’s hanging out where?

We’ve compiled our own shortlist of Cannes’ top addresses for spring 2015. But this isn’t your usual list of picks — save this link on your smartphone and consider it your go-to cheat sheet for some of the newer (and cooler) spots that won’t be crammed with wannabes.

Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel
Firmly planted upon the beaten path, this coastal resort is worth a second look for its new offerings in the cuisine. New chef Nicolas Navarro brings his expertise from the kitchens of Dominique Bouchet and Alain Ducasse to serve up a whole host of new flavors.

Le Tube
While gorging on meal after meal of haute French fare, ever wonder how the chefs put their perfected platters together? Le Tube, awash in sleek, industrial-like fixtures, gives diners the chance to cook up their own creations with tried-and-true cooking classes for the masses. The restaurant opened last March, so there’s still time book your course or meal before the jet-set catches on.

Brasserie Sea Sens
The less formal component to the much-acclaimed Sea Sens restaurant, the brasserie, which opened in February, welcomes diners on the go. It’s the perfect place for an intimate lunch amid swish, modern surrounds. Everyone will be booking tables at the Michelin-starred Sea Sens, so the brasserie section is the place to hang if you need a break from the see-and-be-seen scene.
