The chic, gay-popular U.K. hotel group Firmdale Hotels created another instant classic boutique property in the heart of London's theatre district. The Haymarket Hotel, located on the corner of Haymarket and Suffolk Place smack dab in the middle of the pulsating West End theater district is next door to the famous Haymarket Theatre Royal (currently showing Sweet Charity). It's also surrounded by gobs of London's chicest restaurants, pubs, and bars and some fabulous shopping along Mayfair, Regent Street and Jermyn Street. Firmdale is the developer of the fabulous Crosby Hotel in New York's trendy SoHo area.

Haymarketgym Art aficionados will love its proximity to Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery which are a stone's throw away. You can walk off any excess pub dining at the nearby St. James's Park.

Should you swim, drink or both at Haymarket's stunning and seductive pool/bar lounge, pictured at left? Up to you!

With only 50 rooms, the hotel books up quick, but the relatively inexpensive, starting at 250 GBP for their standard category room and going up to 3,000 GBP for their unique, if pricey, townhouse, popular with posh celebrities. There are specials and deals to be had, however, including half-price Sunday nights.

The budget impaired may wish to simply take tea at the hotel, pictured below, which ranges from 5 GBP (cupcake tea) to 28 GBP per person for Champagne tea. (As of press time, 1GBP=$1.52)
