Is It Safe to Travel to London?

Over the last few days we have seen some negative images of the violent riots happening around the U.K. at the moment. We wanted to inform you, if you have a vacation planned, or a business trip booked to London there is NO NEED to cancel.

"It is important to note that recent incidents have occurred away from the capital's major visitor attractions, which continue to operate and attract thousands of people from across the world," says Fiona Laurent, a spokesperson for the Mayor’s office.

All of the main tourist attractions are in the city centre, where no violence has occurred. The U.S. Embassy tells its citizens, however, to act cautiously. Follow local media alerts and if you see yourself near any trouble, move away from the scene.
