Kylie Minogue Confirmed for Sydney Mardi Gras

 

To celebrate her career milestone of 25 years as a beloved performer and gorgeous gay icon, non other than Kylie Minogue (as if we need to give her last name) will perform at the 2012 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Australia's (and possibly the world's) largest and gayest grandstand of the year. 

Though the performer's appearance had been a secret for some time, it just couldn't be contained any longer.

“I’m coming home for Mardi Gras and I simply can’t wait to be there for it,” Minogue said in a video to fans and festival organizers. “Your support over the years has been phenomenal and being there for Mardi Gras is going to be a beautiful way to celebrate 25 years of this relationship.”

Indeed.

Also still to come in the three week long celebration, which began February 12 and runs through March 4, is the always highly anticpated and thrilling Drag Races at Bondi Beach on March 2, the Pride Parade on March 3m and Rupaul's Glamazon party on March 4.

The main event, Mardigrasland, featuring Kylie Minogue will take place March 3 at Playbill Venues and Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park from 10 pm to 8 am. Get your tickets at MardiGras.org.au.
