The queen earned a strong fanbase from her time on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 and even secured a regular role in the live show in Las Vegas.

Now, Michaels is giving back to the Las Vegas community by performing at the AFAN (Aid for AIDS of Nevada) Annual Black & White Party.

“I'm so excited. I will say that this opportunity was the first thing I said ‘yes’ to. I am having brand new outfits made just solely for this event. A girl always loves to have new costumes made, so I’m very excited,” Michaels tells Out Traveler.

Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in the state of Nevada. 2022 marks AFAN’s 37th anniversary of practicing its commitment to the community by providing unparalleled health expertise, support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada.

“There’s still some stigma around HIV/AIDS and I want to help reduce the stigma. Undetectable means untransmissible. It’s really important to stay knowledgable and check up on yourselves. Any way I can be involved in that, if that’s just me showing up and twirling around in a circle, I’m happy to do that.”

AFAN's Black & White Party is a signature event in Las Vegas, with the entire valley showing up at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas to dance the night away while supporting an important cause. This year, this party will take place Saturday, October 22nd.

For fans hoping that Michaels will return to the Drag Race franchise, they may just be in luck.

“I’ve said yes, then I’ve said no, then I've said yes again. Do I think that I am ready? Yeah, absolutely. It's been five years now. I had zero confidence on that show. Asia and I are the only ones that haven’t been back yet. If we ever go back, maybe you’ll see us on there together. If they paired Asia and I up together, it would be a force to be reckoned with.”
