Mila Jam's 'Say Your Name,' Is the Queer Anthem We Need Now
The song is a response to growing discrimination against trans and drag community.
YouTuber-turned-Pop-star, Mila Jam is celebrating this Trans Day of Visibility by releasing a powerful new anthem, "Say Your Name."
Jam has toured internationally with the Broadway musical RENT; performed alongside James Brown, Mark Ronson, Laverne Cox, Travis Wall, andJody Watley. Named the Odyssey Nightlife Awards Breakthrough Artist of 2015, and the GLAM Nightlife Awards Best Video & Dance Artist of 2013, today the artist dropped her newest song (and video below) to empower the transgender and drag community to fight back against the growing discrimination they face.
The song speaks to the resilience and strength of the community, encouraging people to be proud of who they are and to not be silenced by bigotry.
