Pride is back for 2022 and LGBTQ+ travelers are ready to break out the rainbow flags and celebrate our community again with in-person events after a two-year hiatus.
The global shutdown hit the LGBTQ+ community hard. In addition to losing much-needed access to medical and basic services, we also lost the ability to spend time with friends and chosen family during Pride.
But now that the world is slowly opening up again, LGBTQ+ travelers are again booking visits to share in Pride during the month of June. Airbnb recently published a list of the Top 50 international destinations for Pride this year based on bookings.
Here are the top 10 destinations in the U.S. for Pride travelers based on current bookings for Airbnb.
Minneapolis Pride takes place June 24-26. The city made that made sitcom television history when Mary Tyler Moore tossed her cap into the air came in at number 37 on the international list of Pride destinations.
New Orleans Pride takes place June 10-12. The Big Easy came in at number 24 on the international list of Pride destinations.
Portland Pride takes place June 17-19. The City of Roses came in at number 22 on the international list of Pride destinations.
Denver Pride takes place June 24-26. The Mile High City came in at number 21 on the international list of Pride destinations.
Nashville Pride takes place June 24-26. Music City came in at number 24 on the international list of Pride destinations.
Chicago Pride takes place June 24-26. The Windy City came in at number 19 on the international list of Pride destinations.
San Francisco Pride takes place June 24-26. The City by the Bay came in at number 18 on the international list of Pride destinations.
Seattle Pride takes place June 24-26. The Emerald City came in at number 16 on the international list of Pride destinations.
