Mike Pence's New D.C. Neighbors Troll Him With Rainbow Flags

The VP-elect's new neighbors let him know how much they disagree with his policies.

Until Vice President-elect Mike Pence moves into the Naval Observatory, the mansion reserved for vice presidents, he will be renting out a $6,000 apartment in an affluent neighborhood in Northwest Washington, D.C. called Chevy Chase.

His new neighbors aren't exactly fond of his homophobic rhetoric and have decided to welcome him into the neighborhood by hanging up rainbow flags in front of their homes.

According to CNN, about half a dozen flags are being displayed on Pence's block and more are on the way. Ilse Heintzen, one of Pence's neighbors, felt that the flags were "a respectful message showing, in my case, my disagreement with some of his thinking."

"I have no idea what [Pence] will think about, but I hope he will change his mind," she added in a statement to WJLA
