Thijs Weijland has been living in Amsterdam for almost eight years now, currently in Oud-West, a charming historic area on the edge of the center, and thanks to a writing gig at Gay.nl, the country's largest gay website, he's got the in on all the city's happenings by day, and especially by night. Once a wannabe actor, for the past two years he's been playing and hosting events as one half of the DJ duo The G-Team. His best advice: rent a bike. "You can get lost cycling the canals and you might even discover hidden gems on your own."
