Aspen Gay Ski Week, the nation’s largest and oldest gay ski event, returns for its 37th year from January 12-19, 2014, with comedian Mario Cantone headlining one of the party's numerous events.
Besides four mountains of varied skiing and snowboarding terrain, visitors will find it difficult to resist the plethora of entertainment planned for the Colorado spectacular. Highlights include a downhill costume party, a Red Party (deemed avalanche safe), and various pool fiestas. Many mountain-top parties are accessible only by a moonlit, gondola ride up the mountain, and the ‘All For Love” group civil union ceremony will take place among the peaks. The Limelight Hotel is the epicenter of the action, and annual sponsors Bud Light and Svedka are back to support the week's events, featuring DJs, celebrity entertainment, and a comedy night starring actor and stand-up comedian Mario Cantone, who will perform at "Belly Up" on Thursday night.
“There is something for everyone at Aspen Gay Ski Week, especially for the non-skier,” Kevin McManamon, AGSW co-chair, said in a statement. “Aspen offers visitors world renowned restaurants, award-winning spas and first class shopping. We broke attendance records in 2013, and we expect to do the same in 2014, helping us to continue to be the premier GLBT winter travel event.”
