As if relaxing in Ixtapa, Mexico doesn't sound heavenly enough, legendary out swimmer Diana Nyad will join Olivia's November trip and tell passengers how she managed to swim from Cuba to Florida.
The San Francisco-based company made the announcement on Monday that Nyad will join the seven-night, eight-day trip to the Club Med Resort in Ixtapa. "Nyad will be on hand to enjoy the relaxing and adventurous activities, as well as host a speaking engagement where she will talk about her record-breaking Cuba-to-Florida swim and share the challenges and determination she experienced before, during and following her victory," according to an Olivia statement.
Nyad, and the rest of the guests, will stay at the newly renovated Club Med Ixtapa, which recently received a $20 million upgrade. Sailing, snorkeling, fitness classes, circus school, dance lessons, solo mixers, and the "Olivia Olympics" are all on the itinerary. Click here to learn more.
