Seven Parties at Miami's White Party Worth Doing Sit-ups For

The White Party in Miami turns 30 this year and the famed circuit party is grander than ever. Kicking off November 26, the day before Thanksgiving, White Party Week stretches until December 1. Numerous events occur every day, with the official White Party — billed as the world's oldest and largest HIV fundraiser — happening on Saturday, November 29 at the new Perez Art Museum. Here are some other WP events to mark in your calendar:

WHITE JOURNEY, Thursday, November 27
This party happens on Thanksgiving, so if you feel comfortable taking your shirt off after all the turkey and stuffing, then this is the party for you. Held at the Cameo nightclub, the party features DJs Joe Gauthreax and Kidd Madonny spinning from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

WHITE GAYTHERING, Friday, November 28
For a more sedate experience, try this happy hour, taking place at one of our favorite hotels, The Gaythering (it's nominated for an Out Traveler Award). You have three hours to mix and mingle, starting at 7 p.m.

WHITE SPLASH, Saturday, November 29
You're in Miami, so you must don a bathing suit (it's the rules). You'll have the chance at this pool party, beginning at 11 a.m. at the National Hotel. DJs Grind and Sushiman (!) will be there, as will boatloads of booze.

WHITE PARTY, Saturday, November 29
The crescendo of the whole week is this blowout party, which takes over the stunning Perez Art Museum, designed by Herzog & de Meuron and sitting right on the water in downtown Miami.

MUSCLE BEACH, Saturday, November 29
This dance party happens on the sand, and it's really a blast (after you get sweaty dancing, you can dive right into the Atlantic). The happening starts at 1 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. with DJs Mickey Friedman and Tristan Jaxx.

WHITE SUNSET TEA, Sunday, November 30
The ultimate tea dance happens at The Palace Bar from 4-11 p.m. The "open air dance block party" features DJs Bill Lace and Nando.

WHITEHAUSE 3, Monday, December 1
For those who refuse to let the sun set on White Party weekend, there's this party way down in Key West, at the much-loved Island House resort (another Out Traveler Award nominee). The party starts at 2 p.m. and doesn't close up until 4 a.m.
