Southern Decadence
is almost here! The gay bash in the heart of New Orleans's French Quarter attracts party people from around the globe with dozens of events; it can almost be overwhelming. But don't stress — we'll do the work for you. Here's an itinerary of what-not-to-miss while in NOLA:
Thursday, August 28:
Midnight — “Welcome Party and Big Dick Contest” kicks off the festivities at
The Bourbon Pub & Parade
upstairs. Porn star Hans Berlin will be making a guest appearance at the event hosted by “Bearded Lady” Billy Francesca and Nicole Dubois. DJ Sean Michael will then take over.
Friday, August 29:
7 p.m. — Make sure you grab a spot on the parade route along Decatur, Canal, and Bourbon streets to see the Southern Decadence Float Parade.
11 p.m. — Check out “the best damn amateur strip night of Decadence” takes place at The Bourbon Pub & Parade.
Saturday, August 30:
5 p.m. —
Napoleon’s Itch
presents Bourbon Street Extravaganza, a free concert at the corner of Bourbon and St. Anne streets, including Inaya Day and Jeanie Tracy.
11 p.m. — The Bourbon Pub & Parade will again host an event upstairs. Make sure to check out the Hot Ass Contest sponsored by ID Lube.
Sunday, September 1:
2 p.m. — Sunday is a packed day for festivities. Grand marshals Aubrey Synclaire, Chad Boutte and Reba Douglas will lead the Southern Decadence walking parade from Decatur and Barracks streets to Bourbon and St. Anne.
4 p.m. — DJ Billy Francesca and DJ Robbie Martin will get the Twisted T-Dance started at The Bourbon Pub & Parade.
10 p.m. — Don’t venture far from The BP&B because DJ Derek Monteiro brings the party to life and Treasure Island pornstars Dolf Dietrich and Drew Sebastian will have a live performance on stage (we're not sure what that will entail exactly).
Monday, September 2:
9 p.m. — To round out the exciting and debauchereous Southern Decadence 43, join performers, participants, and attendees for the farewell “Hung Over and Broke” party at, you guessed it, The Bourbon Pub & Parade.
