Charter Bus Startup, Skedaddle, Offers Easy Service to Fire Island

Trips start at just $5

A new Boston-based charter bus booking startup with the quirky name Skedaddle is offering customers the choice to book public or private, affordable group bus services to a number of cities, including a special route to Fire Island.

An easy alternative to costly taxi services or cumbersome public transportation, Skedaddle's Fire Island journey makes escaping the city a cinch. Leaving from Union Square at regular intervals, tickets start at only $5, and take travelers staight to Bay Shore.

Adam Nestler, the co-founder and CEO of Skedaddle, talked about the startup's intents and the possible social differences it will make to Mashable:

"A big piece of this is making something social and fun... It means your travel for the weekend isn't sitting alone in traffic for hours. We want this to be really cheap, affordable, really convenient, comfortable—and we think we can also offer a better experience."
