Following Broadway’s biggest night of the year this past week, AKA the Tony Awards on June 10, Broadway Sings for Pride will have its eighth annual event on June 18 in New York City. The charity event recently added Christian Navarro from 13 Reasons Why and Fran Drescher from The Nanny to its roster of stars performing and speaking at the concert.
Other stars at the event include Sam Donovan from Project Runway, and cast performances from Wicked, Frozen, The Lion King, Hair, Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys, and more.
Proceeds from the event will go to The Tyler Clementi Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to end bullying. Past beneficiaries include The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Community Center of New York City and The Hetrick-Martin Institute. Broadway Sings for Pride has been dedicated to providing entertainment and monetary support to the LGBTQ+ community since 2011. YouTube couple Anthony Bowens and Michael Pavano will host the event at 7:30 p.m. at The Cutting Room. Tickets, starting at $30, are available here.
