Exclusive | Work Off the Holiday Pounds: Top Gay Gyms

It's cold outside and staying home and staying cozy seems enticing. Two words: Uh-uh. Don't let the "short days, long cold nights" blues force you into hibernation this winter. Work off the post-Thanksgiving blues (and all that delicious stuffing and pumpkin pie) at the gym.

1. David Barton
215 West 23rd St., New York City, 212-414-2022;
Lusciously lavish locker rooms, a "bathroom of dreams" starring marble showers and Aveda products and a friendly staff add to the reputation of this Chelsea pleasure palace. Other divine draws are the Russian baths, where sauna meets steam in a sumptuously sultry setting, the excellent DJs who whip the energy up to hurricane strength and a fun smattering of celebrities to distract regulars from their treadmills' private TV screens.

2. Crunch
8000 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood; Los Angeles; 213-654-4550;
WeHo's upscale workout world sees some of the hottest bodies strut through its doors for fit fun. Known for its excellent classes (from Buff Yoga to Chill Outs to Cardio Striptease), Crunch also offers a state-of-the-art sauna in its 28,000 square feet.

3. Cheetah

Club La Cite tons of weights, a complete selectorized machine circuit and cardio equipment, including two floors of treadmills, elliptical trainers, bikes and stairmasters are the draw at Montreal's hottest gay-popular facility.
