INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE
Gold: Virgin Atlantic Airways & British Airways (tie)
Its no wonder our readers had trouble picking just one as their favorite international airline. Virgin is young, hip, and boasts great amenities, but British Airways has classy, attentive service and staid luxury on its side. The appeal is split, but the results are top-notch!
Silver: Singapore Airlines. Asia's leading airline, hitting this list for the first time, offers a broad range of destinations, not to mention Givenchy sleeper suits and Ferragamo toiletry kits for first class passengers.
Bronze: Lufthansa. With efficient service and award-winning advertisements targeting the LGBT community, this affordable German airline is in the number three slot for the second year in a row.
Runner-ups: Air France, Qantas
GAY RESORT TOWN
Gold: Key West, Fla.
LGBT events loom large in the Conch Republic with Womenfest for the ladies, Tropical Heat for the fellas, and Gay Spring Break for the collegiate crowd. Even New Year's Eve is gay in Key West, where local celebrity drag queen Sushi rides in on a massive high-heeled shoe.
Silver: Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Home to over 100 LGBT-owned businesses, Fort Lauderdale radiates acceptance and continues to flourish as one of the most gay-friendly towns in the country.
Bronze: Palm Springs, Calif.
If you like your nuptials with some blazing heat, Palm Springs is the place to go. Choose from more than two dozen fabulous gay guesthouses.
Runner-ups: Provincetown, Mass., Fire Island, New York
GAY WINTER EVENT
Gold: WinterPRIDE
Every February, more than 3,200 LGBT skiers from around the world chill out at this frosty event in Whistler, British Columbia. Popular gay-friendly bars like Buffalo Bill's and Longhorn Saloon provide some indoor heat while the slopes provide the outdoor fun.
Silver: Aspen Gay Ski Week
This weeklong event celebrates its 31st anniversary, which includes additional non-ski activities such as spa days, (indoor) pool parties, and a downhill costume competition.
Bronze: Lake Tahoe Winterfest
This LGBT ski week features performances by gay and lesbian entertainers, such as the sexy Ari Gold and LOGO-featured comic Jennie McNulty.
Runner-ups: Valentines Ski Week, Telluride Gay Ski Week (tie); WhiteOUT!
