POWER MOGUL
Aspen Gay and Lesbian Ski Week (January 14–21)
The trip: The longest running gay ski week celebrates its 30-year anniversary with exclusive parties offering debauched, cocktail-fueled networking among a who’s who of glamorous gay power players.
Aprés ski: Diverse lineup of events on four different mountains, a downhill costume parade, and a glam film festival.
Extra credit: New gondola in Snowmass and new passenger cars for the gondola in Aspen.

INTERNATIONAL PLAYBOY
European Gay Ski Week, Les Trois Vallées, France (March 12–19)
The trip: This all-inclusive four-star luxury trip (organized by Alternative Holidays) brings in 300 slope seekers who represent over 40 different nationalities. It’s a multilingual mix.
Aprés ski: In addition to daily parties, the host resort, Val Thorens, offers massages, dance classes, and a steamy Turkish bath.
Extra credit: You can ski right up to the door of the resort and into someone’s arms.

POWDER PUFF
Swiss and International Gays, Lenzerheide, Switzerland (March 3–10)
The trip: This intimate affair attracts around 50 gays and lesbians of different ages. The ski area of Lenzerheide/ Valbella in the Graubünden mountains is perfect for beginners, offering numerous bunny trails.
Aprés ski: Fondue in a mountain hut, a gay cinema evening in the quaint old village theater, and cabaret.
Extra credit: Night skiing under dim lights and stars should ensure no witnesses if you have a wipeout.

PROCRASTINATOR
Need an extra season to learn how to ski so that you don’t embarrass yourself in front of all those power moguls? Consider a trip to the Southern Hemisphere, the setting for two ski weeks in September 2007: Gay Ski Week New Zealand in Queenstown and WhiteOut in Victoria, Australia.
