The ninth Gay Games wrapped up this weekend in Cleveland, but not before a flamboyant closing ceremony in downtown Cleveland.
Politicians, comedians, and LGBT celebrities like trans icon Amanda Lepore showed up for the wrap party, where officials handed over an American flag to the French delegation that's hosting the 2018 Gay Games in Paris. The Cleveland/Akron event was deemed a success, attracting 9,000 people and featuring sporting achievements that included a 99-year-old runner competing. Read more here.
